Nima Girls Arts College, Gozaria celebrated a cultural programme on August 11,2021 under the title “Shivmahatmya & Mahimnagaan” in view of the the month of Shraavana dedicatedly ascribed to Lord Shiva. The two invited guests DR Vikram Joshi, Associate Professor, Department of Sanskrit, S.D. Arts College, Mansa and Shree Samirbhai Vyas, a celebrated Bhagvat-kathakar sang certain verses of Lord Shiva such as Shiva-panchaxar Stotram, Shiva-kavacha stotra, Shiva manaspuja etc. Dr. Joshi explained the concept of the eagerly desired union of Jiva and Shiva. Being a pandit of various Shaiva ceremonies DR Joshi delivered a scholarly lecture about the significance of veneration of Lord Shiva, most specifically in the month of Shraavana. Being a celebrated kathakar Shree Vyas sang the Shiva-mahimna Stotram and Bilvashtakam and thereby created an atmosphere of purely religious leanings towards Lord Shiva. This entire programme reached its height of religious significance at the time of the arati of Lord Shiva. This programme was successfully anchored by DR Pandya. DR Raval contributed to the programme through his involvement with the musical instrument. I/C Prin. Dr Barot revealed her blessings to the students in her introductory lecture of both the guests while the prayer was sung by the girls of Sem. III and Sem. V. During the entire programme Shree J.N.Patel, Trustee of Shree Gozaria Kelavani Mandal and Shree N.K.Patel, director of Shree Jotaram Somnath Patel Educational Campus graced the programme with their auspicious presence throughout. As the programme was carried out in the format of Bilvashtakam, as part of the very final and astham bilva-patram DR Dasalaniya expressed the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
