Introduction

Nima Girls Arts College, Gozaria has a very extensive playground that is collectively used by the adjoining M.K. Patel High-school and A.S.J. Patel Higher Secondary school under the flag of the same managing body in the same education campus. As the timings of both the institutions are quite different, the same ground is used without any problem. Different events of sports such as Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Weight-Lifting, Power-Lifting as well as athletics are participated by the students under the presiding guidance of the Physical Training Instructor of Nima Girls Arts College, Gozaria. The college has produced the outstanding sportspersons till the date. Because of the participation in sports and using the certificates of sports events many of the girl-students of the college have been able to join the police force also. Physical Training Instructor of the college and sports loving members of the sports committee till today have toiled their best to develop these grounds. The local sports committee of the present time bears two members: DR. Satyapal P. Prasad and DR. N.M. Daslaniya.

  • Availability of rooms with all necessary facilities to halt for the University/Inter University players during their coaching camp.

2016-2017

Sports Achievements of Year

During the year the Department of Sports took pains in preparing the teams of different events of sports, which took part in the relevant events at different college-centres under the aegis of HNGU, Patan.  The inter-college Kabaddi tournament was held at Dhanera college, Kho-Kho tournament was held at Chanasma College, the event of Cross-country was held at Talod College. The Athletics tournament was held at the University Department of Sports, Patan. Nima Girls Arts college hosted the inter-college weight-lifting event of sports and obtained the championship. The girl-students having been selected for the inter-university event are encouraged after their playing of the said event every year from the donation of RS 10,000 of the college-convener Shree Ashokbhai G. Patel, ex-president of Rotary Club, Gozaria. This year the following players were awarded with this prize:

2017-2018

Sports Achievements of Year

The college students were prepared for different sports events trough leading them to practice very hard. Nima Girls Arts College, Gozaria attained the university championship in the events of Weight lifting and Power lifting, held at the university head quarter at Patan. In the state-level competition called Khel-Maha kumbha 2017, college students participated in the events of weight-lifting and athletics. In the former event Thakor Laxmi secured the bronze medal and thereby brought laurels to the college. The girl-students having been selected for the inter-university event are encouraged after their playing of the said event every year from the donation of RS 10,000 of the college-convener Shree Ashokbhai G. Patel, ex-president of Rotary Club, Gozaria. This year the following players were awarded with this prize:

2018-2019

Sports Achievements of Year

The college students were prepared for different sports events trough leading them to practice very hard. Students zealously participated in the government sponsored state-level sports event called Khel Maha-kumbha and the sports festival arranged as part of the yearlong celebration of the Ashta-dashabdi samaroh of Shree Gozaria Kelavani Mandal. The different local dignitaries take significant interest in inspiring the girl students to take part in the local, university-level, state-level and national level events os sports.  The girl-students having been selected for the inter-university event are encouraged after their playing of the said event every year from the donation of RS 10,000 of the college-convener Shree Ashokbhai G. Patel, ex-president of Rotary Club, Gozaria.

2019-2020

Sports Achievements of Year

The college students were prepared for different sports events through leading them to practice very hard.  On October 22, 2019 inter college mixed (boys and girls both categories) tournament of the colleges affiliated to HNGU, Patan was hosted in the events of weight lifting, power-lifting and best physics. In the said tournament as many as fourteen (14) colleges participated. The dignitaries of Shree Gozaria Kelavani Mandal graced the inaugural ceremony with their encouraging presence to boost up the spirit of the participants.  In the boys category P.K. Kotavala Arts College, Patan won the championship and in the girls category Arts College, Himmatnagar won the championship. The girl-students having been selected for the inter-university event are encouraged after their playing of the said event every year from the donation of RS 10,000 of the college-convener Shree Ashokbhai G. Patel, ex-president of Rotary Club, Gozaria.
