Report of National Seminar 2022
On September 27, 2022 on the auspicious day of Tuesday Nima Girls arts college, Gozaria organized a national seminar on human sensitivity in travelogues and Diasporic literature in collaboration with Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, Gandhinagar. After the guests having been welcomed through a typical Gujarati tradition, the inaugural ceremony commenced under the presiding presence of Shree K.K.Patel, president of Shree Gozaria Kelavani Mandal and Vice-president of Nirma University. Following the Indian tradition the programme got off the mark with an auspicious prayer sung by the college-girls. After the seminar inaugurated through the divine lighting of lamps by the guests, the in-charge Principal of the institution DR R.D.Vaghela acquainted the audience with the guests and verbally welcomed them. One of the organizers and the Head, Department of Hindi DR. S. G.Patel made the audience aware about the objectives of the seminar.
The Guest of Prominence and the Vice Chancellor, Birsa Munda University Prof. Madhukar Paadvi stated in his speech that such events in the field of higher education impart catalytic enthusiasm for leading life in the world of materialistic mentality. Shree K.K.Patel expressed during his inaugural speech that the planned voyages to the different parts of the world are greatly useful in life as every tour or travel add to the knowledge of the explorer. While blessing the event with his auspicious words Shree Patel wished the inclusion of the students of the Third year B.A. in such programmes so that they might be benefitted through them.
The Key-note speakers DR. Sanjay Chaudhari and DR. Yashodhar Raval delivered the mesmerizing speeches with the former took the gathering to travel from the catalogues of the popular creative writers to the last but not the least, his own catalogue Girnar. Dr. Raval delivered that in the Gujarati literature Himalay no Pravas of Kakasaheb Kalelkar and Vidisha of Bholabhai Patel are the landmarks in view of the Gujarati travelogues.
In the first plenary session Hindi speaker Prof. B.K.Kalasva, Head Department of Hindi, discoursed about Dr. Abhimanyu Anat- better known as the Premchand of Mauritius and made the audience aware about the travelogues in the real sense. The second speaker of Gujarati DR. Ajaysinh Chauhan, Associate Professor, Central University of Gujarat, discoursed about the comparative analysis of the Guajarati and Hindi travelogues in view of the relevant literature of Bholabhai Patel of Gujarati and Rahul Sankrutyayan. The Chairman of the session and Principal, KRK Arts College, Shamlaji DR. Ajay Patel concluded the session by making it clear about the true meaning of human sensitivity. In this session the trustee Shree J.N.Patel and the secretary of the statutory body Shree Shaileshbhai Patel blessed the proceedings to come and expressed their happiness over the organization of this event. The entire session was successfully anchored by one of the organizers and the assistant professor of Gujarati DR. D.M.Vaghela and the Vote of Thanks was expressed by DR. Dipak Sondarva of the Department of Hindi.
The second plenary session of both the languages was held separately, in which in the session of Hindi Prof Uttam Patel of VNSG University DR. Arjun Tadvi, Associate professor of Hindi, P.K.K. College Patan delivered lectures quite relevant to the theme of the seminar in view of the social, religious, historical and geographical contexts. As the chairman of the session renowned industrialist and Hindi poet DR. Bharat Patel summed up the views of both the speakers and revealed his views regarding the travelogues in Hindi. In the session of Gujarati DR. Bipin Chaudhari, Assistant Professor, Government Arts College, Becharaji and DR. Rushikesh Raval of Arts College, Palanpur delivered their lectures in conformity of the thematic relevance of the seminar. Session chair Prof. Rajesh Makwana, Central University of Gujarat summed up the speeches of both the speakers and delivered his own observations about the travelogues and Guajarati Diasporic literature.
In the paper-reading session the Ph.D. research scholars and the faculty members of the different colleges and university departments, one Hundred and Seventy-five (175) in total, enthusiastically participated. During this session DR. Bharat Patel of Vijaynagar Arts College in Hindi and DR Prabhudas Patel of Arts College, Vadali in Gujarati carried out the duties of the chairmen of this session. At the end of the seminar the certificates were distributed. This entire event got accomplished successfully due to the support of all the members of the Nima Girls arts college, Gozaria.
