The vibrant N.S, S unit of Nima Girls Arts College, Gozaria zealously took part in the ‘Swachchhata Hi Seva’ Project of the Government of Gujarat between November 17 to October 02, 2024. On the auspicious day of September 17, 2024 i.e. the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji the girl-volunteers of the unit- 72 in number carried out the rally in the entire village and carried out the activities of cleaning the very public place in front of the temple of Lord Mahadev neat the S.T. Bus point and thereby circulated the symbolic message of “CLEANLINESS IS GODLINESS” among the general masses.
After the completion of the local internal examination, the unit carried out the activities of essay competition, Swachchhata Pledge on September 27 as pre-described on the My Bharat Portal. As many as twenty-four volunteers took part in the essay competition whereas approximately all the students of B.A.Sem. I and III participated in the taking the cleanliness pledge on September 27, 2024.
On September 28, 2024 the activities of Elocution Competition and campus cleanliness were carried out. In the elocution competition 14 volunteers participated while in the one of cleaning the campus as many as fifty-one volunteers participated.
On September 29, different volunteering girls from the town of Gozaria and the neighbouring villages of Samau, Harnahoda and Charadu carried out the cleaning at the unclean areas as per the words of the P.O of the unit. Doing this, they made the illiterate villagers aware about significance of maintaining cleanliness for the sake of the health of the human universe.
On September 30, 2024 the volunteers of the unit carried out cleanliness I the surroundings of the ‘Veer-bhoomi’ near the, village pond called ‘Amrut-sarovar’. Enthusiastic leader of the village and the taluka delegate Mr. Mihirbhai Patel was invited to open up the programme near the village pond. He appreciated the unit for selecting an appropriate place for carrying out the task. After the completion of cleanliness at the Martyars’ Chowk, the girls- 48 in number carried out the activities of cleanliness at in the precincts of the Swaminarayan and Sai Temples, Gozaria.
On October 01, a day before the auspicious event of Gandhi Jayanti as many as 37 volunteering girls participated in the activities of maintaining mega-cleanliness i.e., Maha Swachchhata in the adopted village of Harnahoda, In the precincts of the Gram-panchayat and near the Chamunda Temple in Harnahoda the activity of cleanliness was carried out.
On all the days the volunteers were given appropriate snacks and they were appreciated by the institutional head of the college Dr, Dharmendrasinh Vaghela. This entire project was carried out by the volunteering girls as per the words of P.O. of the unit Dr. Tushar Pandya and the active member of the Community Services Band of college Dr. Narendrabhai Prajapati under the guidance of the in-charge Principal of college Dr, Dharmendrasinh Vaghela.
