On February 21, 2019 Nima Girls Arts College celebrated the international Mother Tongue Day. DR. Rajendrasinh Vaghela, Head, Department of Gujarati, explained the significance of the mother tongue. The principal in charge DR. G.C.Barot explained the element of ease in the teaching through the mother tongue. Shree Mukeshbhai Chaudhari, the in-charge principal of neighbouring high-school, wished the gathering on this auspicious day and advised the students not to ignore the mother tongue despite their fluency in the other languages. In his presidential speech he explained the degree of our indebtedness to our mother tongue just as we are indebted our mothers. An essay competition was also arranged on this very pious occasion.
