During the felicitation programme of the nearby sarpanches of the nearby villages on January 13, 2021 one of the programme coordinating agencies- vibrant NSS unit of the college launched a four-day “Compassion & Consciousness” Programme. As part of this the students were advised not to be harsh towards themselves as well as to the birds and thereby not to fly kites at the early morning and evening to render safe passage to the birds leaving and coming to their nests respectively. They were also advised to be conscious about themselves and hence not to visit the terraces overcrowded with the kite-lovers and their supporters to follow the Covid-19 guidelines. They were told to let any injured bird attended by the 108 emergency services or by the nearest veterinary hospital. On the evening of January 15, 2021 the students and the staff members collected the bunches of the entangled strings of kite to safe guard the mobility of animals and birds and disposed them off by burning them i the open field. The entire programme got accomplished under the presiding guidance of both Programme Officers.
